Renowned hair stylist Kennedy Zziwa opens second branch of hair academy

Kennedy Zziwa, a renowned hair stylist, dresser, and CEO of Hair by Zziwa, a hair studio, has expanded his business by launching the Zziwa Hair Academy in Nansana.

The Zziwa Hair Academy is a hair and beauty school. The school’s first branch was established in Banda in 2018 and offers a variety of courses in Hairdressing and Styling, Braiding and Extensions, Barbering, Makeup Artistry, Nail Technology, Bridal Styling, and Fashion and Design. These courses are offered at both Diploma and Certificate levels.

Fifty-six students from the 2024 intake graduated at the launch of the Nansana branch. One of the graduates, Arnold Tumusiime, mentioned that while training at Hair by Zziwa, he worked there before moving on to start his own salon, Apuuli Makes Hair, located in Kisementi.

The launch of the Zziwa Hair Academy attracted notable figures like Amelia Kyambadde, the Presidential Advisor on Trade and Industry, JK Kazoora, a media personality, and Dr. Bossa of the Ebonies, among others.

The cocktail event featured a runway show where models, styled by Hair by Zziwa, showcased outfits from designers like Kai’s Divo Collection, Strat Bridal, and Anita Beryl, with their makeup done by Mona Faces. There were performances by new singer KaRungi, Lillian Mbabazi, and Nutty Neithan.
